Missed Flight Policy... On Saver Fare

Thanks for the replys. I know that Tiger Airways will move passengers to a later flight, if they happen to miss their's, at the cost of their change fee which is $80 from memory. I would hope that Virgin have something like this in place for unforseen circumstances, not that they are required...

Missed Flight Policy... On Saver Fare

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experience of what Virgin Australia's policy is if you miss your flight due to arriving at the airport late, on a Saver fare. Do they require you to book a new fare at the applicable cost or will they move you to a later flight at a certain set...

Fly Ahead Benefit - Does it have to be same day travel?

Thanks for all the replys. I actually made an error with my booking and have myself departing a day later than I should be. Don't particularly want to pay all the change fees so guess I'll just take a chance and see how I go.

Fly Ahead Benefit - Does it have to be same day travel?

Wondering if anyone has ever had any luck with getting moved to an earlier flight on the day prior to the original departure using the Fly Ahead benefit? I know that by rights it is meant to be same day travel, but wasn't sure whether they will bend the rules occassionally. Cheers.

Seat Assignment changed to from 3D to 2D.... Will it be business seating?

Ended up being in business seating on the way there, and then on the way back received the same seat again. Certainly can't complain about that.

Seat Assignment changed to from 3D to 2D.... Will it be business seating?

Just went to check-in for my flight tomorrow morning and have noticed that my seat assignment has been changed from 3D to 2D. Does this by any chance mean that they've moved me in to Business Seating?

Thanks for the all the advice. If I had a relative with enough points that would be a great option, however at this point it appears that the Foxtel deal might be the best way to go. Cheers.

Easiest way to accumulate another 25,000 points???

Hi all, Currently planning our next trip, and I'm approximately 25,000 points short of what I require. Wondering what the quickest and easiest way would be to obtain this amount of points? I have had a look but it doesn't seem that Velocity allow one to purchase points?? Regards Chris :p

Using Comp Upgrade for MEL-DPS via PER - Possible??

Hi all Just wondering if it is possible to use a comp upgrade on a flight from MEL-DPS via PER? And if so, whether only one certificate is required if I book it as a connecting flight? Also, if my wife wanted to upgrade as well, how many points would be required? Cheers!

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

After a not so impressive stay at Grand Hyatt Melbourne we are glad to be moving to Hilton South Wharf, I certainly prefer the service at HSW, and although the lounge food and beverages are 'classier' at The Grand Hyatt, the service has been not up to scratch this time. The Grand Suite at Grand...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Sorry to digress, however I am just wondering whether anyone has stayed at both HSW and Grand Hyatt Melbourne? If so, could you let me know which of the lounges is better? I would assume that the rooms at HSW are likely to be superior. We typically stay at HSW when in Melbourne but are...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Does anyone know whether Gold's are usually still upgraded to an Executive Room at HSW since the recent changes? I have always been upgraded, even a couple of times to a Yarra Suite, but am not sure whether this is still normal?

Need 5000 Velocity Points - Family Transfer

I think finding a 'cousin' who is willing to give me the points will be the best option, even if I do have to give them a few dollars for their time and effort..

Need 5000 Velocity Points - Family Transfer

Thanks for that. I need the points within the next day or so, so the credit card option may not work. It's a bit of a shame that they don't allow points to be purchased.

Need 5000 Velocity Points - Family Transfer

I am currently 5000 points short of what is required to book the flight I am looking at. Is there a certain rule on how close family needs to be to allow this? I am willing to pay for some points if this is an option?
