Thanks matt_01. I know that pts are not a lot. I didn't think about using pts for internal flights in the US.

They have about 80k Qantas FF points total between them. But they are open to travel on who ever. As long as not jet-star. Bad experience with them. So revenue flights and maybe points for upgrades. They are happy to travel in economy but i would like to try for a nice flight home

used Uber for the first time last night in Perth to head to airport. Just booked the basic car and was quick pickup. Driver was very friendly and was cheaper than a taxi. I had a 30 off offer which brought the price down to under $20. Won't use a taxi service in Perth again
