I think empty words for the many passengers (incl my friends) who were stuck in Dubai airport when their connecting flight was cancelled....my friends were stuck for over 30 hours at the airport, "slept" in a chair as there were no available hotel rooms, endured hours of Qs to rebook flights etc...

As much as I dislike lots of things about Qf, I wont cut my nose off to spite my face...if it suits me to fly Qf I will; if not, I will fly Va and vice versa

Got another letter from Diners last week reminding me that the card is no longer usable and to redeem my points by 30 July as my account will be closed then and the points will be forefeited....if they bothered to check my balance, they will find it is zero!

When I open my Didi app under settings, there is a heading " Velocity Pts" ...clicked on it and added my number....accts now linked and I got 1000 velocity pts for linking. Did it for +1 .... so now I have 2000 additional Velocity pts in total. ;)

I must say I have never even thought about the (possible) liquids in the amenity kit and have never opened it to put the liquids in the plastic bag!

We flew JQ J Syd-Sgn in Jan....the crew could not be faulted!

From googling and reading other online forums, it seems all ATMs in Sth Africa charge between 50-75 Rand per withdrawal and the maximum varies from 3000- 5000 Rand with the former more likely. Happy for this to be confirmed either way. I know card is widely used now in SA but my tour company...

What's the situation in South Africa? I assume, without knowing, that cash is still needed. Do all the ATMs in partic the ones at Jnb airport, charge a fee? And how much is the fee and what is the maximum cash withdrawal? Thanks

Friends were in transit on Wed at Dxb, bound for SJJ....arrived 5 hours late after circling airport for 2 hours. Flight fo SJJ cancelled and they finally got a flight to Zag instead 7 hours ago (flight delayed 8 hours!!) after spending > 30 hours on the ground in Dxb with no hotel available...

So a $2.50 saving...thanks but no thanks Coles!

To my surprise, a lot of places in Japan and Malaysia now take card (may need the physical card) compared to previously....still need cash for some smaller places. In Japan, needed cash to use coin operated laundry machine at hotel and to top up Suica card (not sure if some machines allow topups...

I was thinking of chasing the missing points from each account but it is difficult to work out which policy didn’t give out the points. :( How did others go?

I tried again just then.... 4th time with different Amex card....cancelled again!

Deleted my payment options and uninstalled the app. Shame as Ola kept Uber in check...often cheaper than Uber. Now mainly uses Didi as they keep offering me big discounts...eg fare to Syd International airport from my home can be less than $40...taxi would be >$80!
