Just went through the QF PER terminal today. This time they wanted toiletries out. I just took out my toiletry back (not clear plastic) and placed in a tray. That was acceptable 🤷‍♂️

Whatever the answer is, I've never put them in a clear bag and never had an issue. In fact, these days, I'm so confused as to what's needed and which airport. Is it in the bag, out of the bag etc. All I can say is I've left my toiletries in my toiletry back in my hand luggage at PER, SIN, DEL...

Finally some good news in this office

Sofitel lounge is at least an order of magnitude better then the Hilton one in Melbourne. My only gripe with it is those TVs. Just ruins the ambiance.

This is a really good point. For me, QF constantly markets itself as this amazing premium service airline and fails to deliver. Their say to do ratio is really poor.

The dining discount is 25% off food for one diner, 50% off if two, 33% for three and so it goes. Now with the 20 free status nights getting to gold is quite achievable. However, in my experience the gold benefits over silver are minimal and not worth chasing.
