Typical waiting times for price promise?

Thanks for your advice, MEL_Traveller. I will escalate my complaint to the Airline Customer Advocate tomorrow morning. Last Friday, Qantas offered a refund (they offered to cancel the entire booking and to refund it as a gift voucher with 1 month validity), but I responded, saying I would...

Typical waiting times for price promise?

The Price Promise is a total scam. I submitted a claim on 17 December 2013 and, like others have noted, 3 business days passed and Qantas still didn't action it. After complaining on Twitter on December 27th, I got sent an email from Qantas denying my claim on the basis that the fare was quoted...

747 Business service - a little bit too casual

I find that cabin crew are not usually very professional. That being said, and I don't want this to sound rude, but why would you want to speak to the cabin crew? What could you possibly talk about? I agree they should be courteous, greet you by name, and describe the menu to you, but surely...

Is this the world's oldest flight attendant?

Has to be United Airlines - I too flew aboard one of their dated 747s from Sydney to Los Angeles and it wasn't an experience I care to replicate.

Cabin Divider not in use of QF 737's

I don't really mind if the cabin divider is used or not. When not in use at least the Y passengers get to see those who travel in J.

Cash tipping of aircrew - is it an OK thing to do?

Actually, yes, I do see many similarities between pilots and bus drivers today. I was watching Air Crash Investigation and learnt that all commercial aircraft actually land themselves and fly using the auto-pilot. I understand that pilots were of use in years past, and that when things go wrong...

Cash tipping of aircrew - is it an OK thing to do?

Hi there, I see your point of view, but disagree. I understand that cabin crew are employed to assist in the event of an emergency, but really, their day-to-day tasks are simply that of wait staff. No (technical) skills required.

New Qantas ad? Does anyone like it?

I do not like the ad, either. I wish Qantas would emulate some of the Air France ads - hell, copy them verbatim - as they make traveling seem so glamorous.

Cash tipping of aircrew - is it an OK thing to do?

This is a ridiculous idea and one that I hope does not grow on. I do not consider flight attendants 'professionals' (they are wait staff, honestly) and I support the paying of fair wages -- salaries shouldn't need to be supplemented with tips or gifts. Regarding gifts, should a flight attendant...

People think TSA does a good job

I am not fond of the TSA and am totally opposed to plans to unionise this workforce. Whenever I have been confronted by the TSA, the agent has been trashy and clearly uneducated.

Did anyone else get a double status credits promo today?

That's what I find so concerning. Why is Qantas not targeting my demographic? Seems like intentional discrimination...

Did anyone else get a double status credits promo today?

Very disappointed that I still haven't received this offer! I'm looking to book flights to LAX in October, but don't want to miss out on the double status credits promo! :(

SC Run - Los Angeles to Mexico City, then Panama City to Los Angeles - Oct 12/Jan 13

Hi, team- I am looking to do my very first SC Run this October. LEG ONE I fly into Los Angeles from Sydney on 19 October and can stay in LA for a few days if necessary. So departing, say, on 23 October, I'd like to reach Mexico City by making as many stops as possible. Overnight stays are...

    Conrad Bali Pool Suites

I stayed at this horrible property for two nights (before I couldn't take it any more) in January. The staff are clueless, the rooms are dangerously wired (one could have been easily electrocuted in the bathroom), the decor all horribly dated. I ended up spending two weeks at the W in Seminyak...

    Perth to Sao Paulo

Maybe this is too personal a question to ask; but if you don't mind answering, which mining company do you work for that operates in Belo Horizonte? I'm just curious. Thanks.

Such an unprofessional response. I'm glad I don't have to fly Rex often.

In flight duty free to DFW [Reinstated]

I didn't realise people actually liked having the ability to purchase duty-free items aboard the aircraft. I've always found it annoying and hate being asked if I want to make a purchase. I'm ok buying items in a terminal; but in the cabin? No.

Please note that the above feedback does not apply to the PER - PHE route, where Qantas continues to serve a meal which is not edible :(

10,000 Bonus Points With New OnePath/ANZ Life Insurance

OnePath has been very difficult to get my points out of - it wasn't until I asked how I could contact Consumer Affairs that OnePath agreed to award me my points (and they still haven't hit my account!)
