I first joined the Qantas Club at age 24 and have never looked back. It makes travel so much more pleasureable. The expedited check-in and business facilities including wifi more than make up for the cost IMHO. Why not try it out for a year and see how you like it?

I tried writing to Qantas asking for my SG status to be comped for another year as I had done minimal flying over the last year, and would have requalified in the coming year from planned flights.
