Hay all, Aeroplan underwent maintenance last night and it looks like that glitch is fixed. VA flights now available again.

What a bummer, okay i will let you know how it goes.

Because I just checked United Mileage Plan and it is Virgin Australia seats galore on their search results. So definitely there's some sort of glitch with Aeroplan.

I haven't tried yet, but I have a trip next month that I'd like to book so I will try my luck with their call centre. I'll explain we can't book this award, so hopefully they'll waive their CAD30 booking fee.

Aeroplan updated its website about 5-6 weeks ago, and after that upgrade was complete I stopped seeing VA award on Aeroplan. I think the only way to book is ring Aeroplan desk and explain the situation.

Malaysia Airlines' flight is only 21 hours with a stop over in KL of approximately 2-3 hours. and Malaysia is 1W, so you credit frequent flyer points towards Qantas. But I don't know about status credits. I don't know the fleet Malaysia Airlines uses or PER - KL, but for KL - LHR, its A380.

even if meat off the bone tastes sweat, it is odd... to serve something like this on a virgin Australia flight. chicken thighs would have been better, not as dry as the breast, and has enough fat to give it flavour.
