Fly Ahead is a huge bonus for me. First two VA flights worked on both by a few hours. Getting QF to do that is near impossible unless there is bad weather looming in SYD and its in their interest to get you there quicker.

Lounge access is great especially at South Wharf which has sadly gone.

Youre very lucky none of your flights were cancelled or delayed with LATAM. Had a cancelled flight returning from AKL to SYD. Ended up on Air New Zealand which was fantastic.

If youre in the QF SYD F lounge just ask to work your way through the list to work out what you like the best.

Unless its a cheap weekend getaway to Melbourne to drink litres of French in the Sydney J lounge I don't fly Jetstar. I get an exit row 99.9% of the time on QF and often with a shadow - all on the cheapest tix. Certainly don't get that on Jetstar. All that aside Jetstar Japan was quite good...
