mixed thoughts about the Qantas sick roo logo

I disagree with your thoughts You are assuming that the board is more thoughtful and above Alan Joyce. This board didn't put Alan Joyce in the position as a strategic move - boards don't do that. Boards appoint people to get things right. In this case they did wrong. There was no...

mixed thoughts about the Qantas sick roo logo

I do want to make one point to Pu before going to bed Unlike many people on this forum, I have never called for the sacking of Alan Joyce. I have always said he should go back to the accounting office. And that is not an insult. Alan Joyce is an accountant and he's obviously very good at...

mixed thoughts about the Qantas sick roo logo

oh my.... I just realised that that is what Mr Joyce wants to do with Jetstar in Australia. make Jetstar the funky carrier at the expense of Qantas bugger it's all making sense now but why does he have to crush Qantas to make Jetstar cool? Why can't he have two vibrant brands?

mixed thoughts about the Qantas sick roo logo

oh my! That is sad! The most frustrating thing is watching Qantas follow the path of the US heritage carriers. Qantas needs to innovate the product - like Jetblue, Virgin America and, god forbid, Southwest - the only airline that doesn't charge baggage. Watching what Alan Joyce is doing you...

mixed thoughts about the Qantas sick roo logo

and here's the logo again... it' may still help jolt the senior management of Qantas in to realising that the company should be run by an energetic visionary, not an accountant

mixed thoughts about the Qantas sick roo logo

Hi Guys, I'm in Melbourne tonight after flying to Singapore on the weekend for a few meetings then flying back to Sydney this morning and then Melbourne this afternoon. I feel very uneasy about the Qantas sick roo logo that I had the kids in the office design. I had an excellent flight to...

Just got bumped Qantas Business Hobart to Sydney to a middle seat on Jetstar!

That is correct - I've had a good yarn with Ben at Plane Talking this morning Just to give you an update, I spoke to Qantas this morning and they are offering a refund of points from business to economy. Essentially they're saying that jetstar economy is the same as Qantas economy

Just got bumped Qantas Business Hobart to Sydney to a middle seat on Jetstar!

Still no love from Qantas :( Called this morning at 9.10am and was told by the girl she would call me back. On hold now to customer care. In the meantime I've got one of the designers in the office making me a new Qantas logo. Stand by for the finished version of my sick roo

Just got bumped Qantas Business Hobart to Sydney to a middle seat on Jetstar!

I'm about to call them now - will let you know how it goes. But what do I do if they say they'll just refund the difference between business and economy? Essentially they'll be saying that jetstar economy is no different than qantas economy....

Just got bumped Qantas Business Hobart to Sydney to a middle seat on Jetstar!

Thanks for the welcome Fiona. I was travelling on points but how I paid for the flight shouldn't matter either way. To get platinum status you have to spend a few bucks with the airline. Qantas now has one or two token flights a day out of Hobart and the rest are Jetstar. I've calmed down a...

Just got bumped Qantas Business Hobart to Sydney to a middle seat on Jetstar!

I am one cranky Platinum flier. The qantas flight out of Hobart tonight was delayed by three hours so they put me on the Jetstar flight direct to Sydney without asking me (leaving the same time). And to make it worse, when I was called to the counter I was told that I would have to join the...
