Re the SYD service I have always found the Accor staff quite indifferent (in both lounges). Certainly not what I would expect. I experienced the new Etihad lounge recently and found it far better service wise.

We are trying to book to a flight to Dublin using VA points. Etihad flies there and we'd like to do a stopover for 2-3 days. Are we able to split the flight without paying the higher price for 2 separate legs? We can't seem to find a way at this stage.

Thanks re the Dublin tip. I hadn't considered that. Def will fly EY. I can't believe how many fewer points you need to use with Etihad in comparison to VA. It's as if they are forcing you away from them. A very odd strategy as as far I can see it must dilute your brand.
