Reason for JQ8 not leaving SIN-MEL last night was wiring problems. -VKG taxied out to the runway then cabin lighting (including emergency lighting) started doing strange things.

JQ43 MEL - DPS cancelled today. Probably due to JQ8 non arrival. Jetstar status page also having problems. Showing Saturday when searching for Sunday status. Very misleading, will lead to more frustrated passengers

-VKL finally back in the air this afternoon more than 14 weeks after the lightning strike. Flew SYD-MEL as JQ7991

Matt Franzi ( JQ Chief Operating Officer ) stated all -788's would be back in the air by today. Could we see -VKL flying ? It's been down 14 weeks since the lightning strike. There's another aircraft due to be repainted soon (the speedtape issue) so that one will be down for at least 2-3...

Wednesday 28 Sep 1245. JQ7 just left MEL. Should arrive SIN on time

Looks like the 2nd lightning strike a/c (VKF) is back in the air again. Pushed back and heading from SYD to DPS at 2030 VKK just back in MEL from KAL paintshop. Should head to BKK at 2200

-VKK heading back to MEL from KAL paintshop at Busan. Should arrive 2000hrs, maybe scheduled for the late BKK flight at 2200hrs ? Next aircraft should leave for repaint soon, so still at least 3 -788's on the ground

JQ8 just left SIN. Arriving MEL 12 hrs late at 1730

JQ7 Cancelled on MEL departures board, but departed at 1925 on JQ website !!! No sign of it on FR24 at 2045

Good news, 788 -VKA finally back in the air after a month in maint at SIN. Flight JQ8992 just left SIN heading to MEL. Arriving 8PM. Not sure if any revenue passengers
