What should I expect from VA 1 Business / VA2 Premium?

PE seat no comparison to the Business Class, but I didn't sleep well in either. As not sleeping appreciated being able to go for a stretch and get myself a soda in both cabins - but not as much as I appreciated being offered a coffee as soon as my eyes fully open. Couldn't have asked for...

What should I expect from VA 1 Business / VA2 Premium?

Paid trip, row 5 full but pleased with 3C, and the cover worked for me too. Didn't drink the Lanson, didn't mind the Forest Hill riesling with the salad and barramundi. Crew very friendly, pretty good alround. Just disappointing to go home PE soon after the J experience.

What should I expect from VA 1 Business / VA2 Premium?

Thanks Serfty, good to know - I am short but still a few over 150cm, with very tall husband. Are the pillows any good, or advisable to take your own?

What should I expect from VA 1 Business / VA2 Premium?

Hi, doing my first VA long-haul with Platinum partner - also a domestic flyer. Business to LAX, Premium back. Any hints/tips for the uninitiated? Flew to LAX with QF back in 07, how do you think VA compares?

    Virgin Lounge Extension at BNE

Re: Private lounge in Brisbane Very easy, and I like the look and feel - is warm and cosy. Master 4 extremely impressed by the view, was disappointed when we then boarded a 737!

Sydney Lounge feedback wanted regarding meeting rooms and kids area

I second view, or at least something flight related to see & touch - Mast almost 4 now delays our entry to Brisbane lounge to see the planes at each gate we pass. We're yet to see the new Canberra lounge but loved the view from the old. Our local GP also does the small glass front room with...

Has Qantas got its "mojo" back?

As a mother with a small boy, flying to/from NTL, I second this. It really comes down to the crew on the day, and the situations they;ve had o deal with that day. While we pay for a service, and expect it to be delivered, ultimately we're all human, and all have off times.

Anytime Lounge Access Finishing? [Yes, from 15Aug12]

I've personally experienced this (insert using my membership when partner is flying and I'm not) as a paid (Silver) lounge member, but know it's been same for Gold - so therefore assume Platinum.

Anytime Lounge Access Finishing? [Yes, from 15Aug12]

Looking for confirmation from VA rep, or in the coming email but members have been able to access the lounge when your guest is departing on VA - maybe this will still apply? I also have to agree with Swanning_it's post re future flyers - brand recognition and preference kicks in very early...

    The totally off-topic thread

How frustrating and my empathy - came very close to having mine (done in BNE late Jan) cancelled due to puppy inflicted scratches on lower calf. Surgeon cleared in office day prior, but nurse in pre-theatre wanted to put a stop to it. Also agree an aged Hunter shiraz does wonders for morale -...

The Lounge - how fast do they process applications?

VA lounge membership for individuals is active as soon as paid. Setting up a new corporate rate would take a little longer - I'd give them a call.

Virgin Australia Lifetime Lounge Membership now available

Hmm, price beyond current budget, but will add to the Christmas wishlist, and perhaps Santa will be kind. Given change in family and therefore work situation, am flying less these days so will be happy enough to maintain Silver over the next few years. Lounge is important to me, so would just...

Whats your poison...? Wine of Choice...? Whats the wine of choice for AFF...!

Very late to this thread, but 2011 has been a tough year - everything 89 - 05 drank post flood to ease the pain, and the wine fridge is down to a drink now (if you need to, but best to wait), so after a few tips. Like many (and although Hunter born and bred) am a fan of the SA wines. Current...
