QF A380 to DFW; QF9/10 retiming

Seems like the non-stop QF8 DFW-SYD flights are now available to book on the QF website (at least for some dates). On the date I'm looking at, Oct 25, departs DFW at 21:15, arriving SYD at 06:05, so a total travel time of 16 hr 50 min. 16 hr 55 min on some other dates.

New York to Washington DC in November. Plane, train or auto-mobile?

Another good option for getting from NYC to DC is Megabus. Typically much cheaper than the train. They use Union Station in DC and depart approx 3 blocks from Penn Station in NYC. Can get tickets for as low as $1 but typically around $20.

QFF points and SCs on MH

Yeah, you're right. Under the status credits earning table on the QF website (FF -> About the Program -> Status Credits) it states "For travel on oneworld Alliance airlines or Air Pacific, Economy is class Y.", so B class on MH will unfortunately only earn discount economy SCs.

    QANTAS/Emirates alliance - thoughts?

The current xONEx rules state "Travel between South West Pacific and Europe/Middle East on a single flight number/or by surface is considered travelling SWP-Asia-Europe through three continents". Seems like this would still result in a minimum of a xONE4 from Australia.

    QANTAS Member number question.

April 1994 for me, 044xx_x - parents joined me up before our big family holiday. Amazing how much better value the points were back then. Points earned from one RTW in economy, ADL-SYD-LAX-SFO-LHR-SIN-ADL plus ADL-DRW return were enough for around Australia tickets in business...

Wanted: Visa or Mastercard to get QF points ... without Amex

There's also the CitiBusiness Gold card which is a visa card and gives 1.25 points per $1, and has a 40,000 points sign up bonus. Don't need to have a business but has a $149 annual fee.

You can also use the iPhone Configuration Utility that can be downloaded from Apple's website. See instuctions on www dot...
