Purchase award miles now and save up to 30%.

thanks. Haven't ventured there yet, but I think my heart will skip a few beats, if I need to buy a pricey refundable ticket - to buy the miles, and then cancel ticket for a refund. But I guess nothing technically wrong with it. Has it worked well for you?

    30% Bonus Miles until May 17 2013 AND 15% discount until April 5 2013

Best way is to buy 40k + gets 12k bonus, and buy 20k + gets 5k bonus. Results: buy 60k reaching max limit and get 17k in bonus = 77k in points. The prev offer of 50% bonus was better, buy 60k + 30k bonus. More points is better for me = more locations. I see they are starting to play games...

Purchase award miles now and save up to 30%.

Just got a targeted offer from United Mileage Plus. Ends 8th April. CDT. Buy 4k-11k miles, save 20% Buy 12k-24k miles, save 25% Buy 25k or more miles, save 30% Not as good as the regular 40% offers I think. It seems the airlines are cutting back on the value, and seeing if people still bite.

US Dividend Miles Buy/Gift Miles 100% bonus - Cheap way for F/J *A Awards

I don't understand this promo, give it a few weeks and probably it will revert to 100% bonus for everyone - as they will have no taker at anything less than 100% bonus. It seems like they are trying to test how desperate the market is, and if we are prepared to buy at less than 100% with an eye...

Booking trips for other people using miles in your account - risky?

Hi, My personal opinion is that it is ok, as the same address would justify that it is your partner/family or at least a v.close friend who you are booking the points for and hence, less likely to have 'sold' your points for a flight. Basically, I would think US airways conducts an audit when it...

Hi, Has anyone tried to buy miles under the current 50% bonus targeted promo? I have a friend who has opened a new account in the last week of Jan (so has now opened more then 12 days), and have received two emails from US Airways encouraging him to participate in the 50% bonus, but when he...

US Dividend Miles Buy/Gift Miles 100% bonus - Cheap way for F/J *A Awards

Hi, Has anyone tried to buy miles on this 50% bonus promo. (I got the offer email) It isn't so clear when you try to buy, if any bonus will be applied, as the screen doesn't mention anything (even if I did click thru from the email and entered my details). This is unlike prior offers when the...

AA buy miles promo, 50% bonus, increased annual limit to 60k

I've done some further checking. The two flights I was looking at was QF1 and QF9, which are both QF metal, and they fly SYD/MEL via Dubai all the way to London (without offload onto EK code-share). Hence my confusion, as to why I only saw Economy award seats, and no Business of First award...
