My Explorer has been setup in a weird way. Basically I started with an Edge, then got Platinum Charge. Received the 120K bonus and all my Ascent points got converted to Ascent Premium, and all the subsequent points from Edge spendings went into Ascent Premium. Then got Explorer, and no Gateway...

I can't even tell whether amex is greedy or stupid.. or both ? Definitely cancelling unless they are bringing the points & insurance back.

How did you achieve that? It's been a while amex no long do that on charge card. Have they finally realised they're losing chunks of business ?

Just got the courtesy call. My renewal is up at the end of this month. Home phone is on DNC however they just called me on mobile.

I also believe it's targetted. Instead of $20 at restaurants I got $25 at major supermarket. And it only applies to the free reserve credit card not on my charge card. Also it says offer valid for a single transaction only. I guess it mean you'll only get the bonus point once ?

I called Amex like a week ago asking for the status of an earlier call a few weeks ago. Turned out that CSR misunderstood me with another DSE promotion. Then I went thru with the latter CSR the transactions that missing points. Yesterday I got nearly all my missed points back, only 5000 short...

I also called amex yesterday and the CSR said it's known issue and just escalate the case. Didn't have to sort out the DSE transaction myself. Hopefully they will get it right this time.

Got my invitation today as well.

Haven't received any CX Gold offering in mail, however got a bunch of useless event invitation instead. Hopefully this benefit is not targeted for certain card members only (I have platinum charge card).

I contact Amex today 'cos my DS bonus points are not posted as well. The customer service representative admins they are aware of the issue, however affected card members must contact them individually to resurrect bonus point posting, as their system won't be able to resolve the problem...

I wonder if cancelling current AAMI policies and re-subscribe works. I have in total more than $2000 worth of policy with AAMI, none of them due before end of June.

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50) My transaction on 5 Jan at DSE for wish gift card was still awarded with the extra 5x bonus points. I think the extra award points are still given, just you can no longer register for the offer if you haven't.

Actually, there is no PC form in my welcome pack booklet. I had to call Amex to get that done. A staff sent me an email to fill in some personal details and then all sorted out.

I applied on last Thursday or Friday, and the Platinum Charge Card was delivered to me today. No phone call, no email notification, no other snail mail asking for more detail financial status, no checking with my employer. They just seem to happily give the card to who wants it. Actually I was...
