Dubai Flood on QF Tickets - anyone else having difficulty getting reimbursed?

Still odd that QF would take responsibility for that, considering it was an EK flight. Usually, the operating carrier is responsible. Very rare for the marketing carrier to give any reimbursements.

Dubai Flood on QF Tickets - anyone else having difficulty getting reimbursed?

I'm assuming you advise them each time the call is being recorded too? Ultimately the policy is here if that helps: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/book-a-trip/flights/compensation-and-refunds-policy.html

Qantas Travel Money changing to Qantas Pay - May 2024

The US is probably one of the last countries around the world to have a working card system. Many, many places over there still require a swipe of your card and a signature!

    ☹️ seat changed at checkin

It purely comes down to incompetence, lack of care and an extreme lack of product knowledge. Probably a mistake by someone and then just handed it off saying what they said.

    ☹️ seat changed at checkin

Maybe 58K was a broken seat in some way and they just lied about it? Strange that this occurred.

Dom/Int CR booking - moving to earlier dom leg?

Do it on the day. Don't bother with the call centre.

    ☹️ seat changed at checkin

Some front line staff really have no idea how their product works. Makes no difference if the seat was 'paid' for. Simply they shouldn't have been moved, or at the bare minimum should've been asked. Hopefully this will get through to someone at Qantas and they may need to remind staff to leave...

Ask the airport staff or supervisor now. Don't wait until after. Ask to speak to the 'ACEM' Airport customer experience manager if the supervisor doesn't want to help.

Qatar Airways may buy Virgin Australia in full - what are the consequences?

What's stopping QR buying out Velocity and then rebranding as Avios. While another firm/airline buys out the airline.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

No I didn't say that. I said the CR+ availablility is based on certain fare classes being available. Read the other responses below that.

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

To be fair, you can't expect every single seat on the flight to be priced at a CR price. These J fares SYD-JFK one-way are around $11000. I personally think the higher points price is better value than paying $11000 cash.

Or you could have the CR fare on one day and the cash equivalent on the other day with absolutely no points options.
