I don't believe there is a CX lounge in T5. Its exclusively a BA terminal. I was flying to Belfast and previously these flights left from T1. There was a decent BA lounge there and we never had any issues getting in as a family. Now T1 is closed for refurb and all BA UK and Ireland flights...

Juat to be clear. The cabin crew member was carrying a printed list of passengers names as she went around taking meal orders. When she got to me she admitted that my name was not on there. It wasn't a case of forgetting my name.

Fully agree. This is a bigger issue stemming from the fact that Qantas decided to introduce a new tier of membership which was ultra elite, but then struggled to define its value add to members. Even the marketing on Qantas.com sounds like a hodgepodge of whever they could scrape together...

They are a OW Partner, and they immediately issued me with a rebooking onto the QF flight 24 hours later..but were not willing to entertain my request to look at other QF and CX routes that evening

Travel agents to my knowledge don't have the capability to monitor travel and proactively reroute. That is the airlines job I think. As a previous post mentioned by IATA rules it was technically KAs responsibility to sort it as they were the delayed carrier. The theme of my whining here...

I just checked the itinerary. It was booked through my corporate travel agent but QF was the ticket issuer. The KA leg was the only one of the four on the itinerary which wasn't QF.
