QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic award seats?

No e-ticket yet. Had to ring back to arrange payment - did get Hobart that time. IME as this ticket only has QF and AY on it, it shouldn't auto cancel. Based on previous AY unticketed experiences, they don't drop like AA, QR etc.

QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic award seats?

Success story...I managed to get 2 x U class released on QF61 (BNE-NRT) for mid-July next year. EF was showing "I3". I was prepared to try multiple dates, but got my first choice. I'm not sure where the call was answered (maybe Fiji based on the accent) but definitely was not Hobart. This is...

789/388 Broken Business Suites Rife - PAX Involuntary moved

Thanks for this info. I had assumed that there would be some visibility of the airframe that was scheduled to fly a sector for planning purposes...but perhaps not immediately or logically accessible to reservations staff. I will report back on where things end up. As it stands, I am hoping...

789/388 Broken Business Suites Rife - PAX Involuntary moved

Bumping this thread...Has anyone got any more updates/insight into the issue of the broken 789 seats? I am flying out to Rome on Saturday and looking at EF, I saw some seats become blocked, including our original 10K,12K (we'd moved at T-80 to 1A,2A) and 3A. Speaking to a mate that works for...

    ExpertFlyer outage

Agreed that this is somewhat a prolonged outage for a technical issue. There used to be some other sites that were good for availability searches - mostly standard commercial fare buckets as opposed to awards. Does anyone recall any of them?

It has been out all morning. I went to run my usual morning award searches and nada...very annoying!

CheckMyTrip Update - No more desktop access or ticket numbers

Seems you can also only add trips that are created with the same email account used to log in to CMT. See FAQs. This is tedious as I use different email addresses depending on whether its work, personal or who's FF account the booking is initiated from. So you now need multiple logins for CMT...

Rex accuses Qantas of predatory behaviour, withdraws from routes

Interested to see what legal remedies a private business has to prosecute conduct regulated by the ACCC. o_O

Book a flight and Extend Current status to 2022

By way of update. Logged in this morning (1 April) and my WP status has been extended for 12 months. I was greeted by the banner of congratulations. I also had a "Future Bookings" line appear in my account activity on 30 March. It was zero SCs and points, but I assume this was the system...

Book a flight and Extend Current status to 2022

Has anyone with a 31/03 date received the extension yet? I booked my flight in February and took it earlier this month, but it's well into "late March" and the extension has still not appeared. Points and SCs appeared same day, so the flight has definitely registered.

Qantas increases points required for Emirates rewards

Thanks Matt. Just happy to return some of the value I’ve gotten from members here on AFF over the years.

All I want to know is...where is my credit? ;)😂

Qantas increases points required for Emirates rewards

I had not thought about this impact. I have often flown QF to AKL then connected to EK because availability is often better out of NZ.

Qantas increases points required for Emirates rewards

I could not see a separate thread (mods feel free to start if you think it worthy), but in related EK redemption news, I was looking at the Classic Flight Rewards tables just now and it seems that EK will move from the Qantas flight rewards table to the Partner flight rewards table from 1...

Virgin Australia Financially Secure? [Now in Voluntary Administration]

Not according to the Velocity website: We’ve made the difficult decision to pause all redemptions for an initial period of four weeks, effective immediately. This means your members won’t be able to redeem their Points for rewards during the pause. That bolding is their emphasis, not mine...

Virgin Australia Financially Secure? [Now in Voluntary Administration]

What is certain is that as a wholly owned subsidiary, it is an asset of the business in administration and therefore its capital and cash will be fully available to the administrators. The administrators have to preserve the assets of the business (which includes the Velocity subsidiary)...

Virgin Australia Financially Secure? [Now in Voluntary Administration]

Except Joyce is allowed to have a bias towards the airline he’s running. Sims is heading a regulator, so it’s usually best to appear neutral on matters that are subject to an investigation.

Virgin Australia Financially Secure? [Now in Voluntary Administration]

Sims has a history of not knowing when to keep his mount shut. All he achieves by speaking publicly/giving his opinions about investigations that are underway, is undermining the legitimacy of those investigations by providing aggrieved parties with an opportunity to claim bias. I feel for his...

Virgin Australia Financially Secure? [Now in Voluntary Administration]

Sorry, I wasn't suggesting that SIA was going to "stump up cash". It was meant as a rhetorical question...the "article" makes a claim that SIA was ready and willing to "save" VAH but that the Government didn't want them to be foreign owned, so would put their hands in the taxpayer pocket...
