They really should re-open their lounge in CNS. There are a reasonable number of flights in and out of there and it can also be used for their HND flights. A Lounge would definitely sway me away from JQ but, without it, what I end up choosing will come down to price.

Like you, Lemon_Party, I just found out that one of my SYD-PER flights next month has been changed to an all-economy 737-700 as well. Why are they using these planes on the transcontinental flights??? Can someone confirm that row 1 on these planes is the same as row 3 on the 2-class birds?

The compflight link is definitely not working. It takes you straight to the VA site and you'd book a flight like you normally would.

Well, I can officially say that the waitlist for the upgrade came through at T-48 ahead of the upgrade bid. At the time, only 2 out of the J seats had been taken and the D fare was still available.

Well, I'm going to test out that theory with an upcoming flight. I don't think the 72 hours is true as I've already passed the T-72 mark and waitlist hasn't cleared yet. However, it may be 48 hours for the waitlist as I've noticed that the upgrade bids tend to clear around T-24.

Does a points upgrade waitlist take priority over an upgrade bid or is it the other way around? Also, when would a points upgrade waitlist clear? Does fare class and status make a difference?

That's chicken with the noodles. It's one of my favourite meals that they serve. The chicken parmi was also pretty nice. The QF domestic J meals don't even come close.

Similar issues with QF. That's why I always have paper BP when I'm flying QF. Never had a problem with VA but may need to start having backup options with them too now.
