I believe the visa on arrival has been suspended since the elections last year. You can get a visa in BKK but you need to be there early in the morning and it usually takes 2 days. I think a travel agent in coughet should be able to arrange it for you (for a fee).

Also upgraded at the SATS First/Biz counter, PE to J on QF 32 SIN - SYD 29 January. No mention of an upgrade at the counter only noticed my boarding pass on the way to the first class lounge. Was also allocated 11A on the A380, not a bad seat at all. Thank you QF :)

hmmm, they must have only recently increased the price on the SIN-BKK-SIN run. I did this flight only last week and paid a little over $500. I also booked another for 29/30 January only last week for $600, but same dates a re now showing the AUD1600.

I took up this offer about a month ago for a 3 trip which i am on now. Cost was $115 for a single. which was similar to most other online travel insurance. Still waiting for for my 10,000 points

Hi J lane, I regularly fly this route, and have never encountered any severe turbulence. maybe the occasional few bumps but nothing to worry about. Of course someone else could prove me wrong? Ken

There is also the usual SIN-BKK special, but is much cheaper on the Zuji Singapore site (AU$474)
