Not 100% correct. The points will sweep to your account approximately 5-6 days BEFORE your statement cycle date. You can work our your statement cycle date by the last digit of the middle block of numbers. This is outdated, but close enough...

Thought I'd fly up the night before (< 24 hour transit, not a stopover) as there is business award availability (i.e. whole trip in J). Turns out this isn't possible either and would need to be priced as 2 tickets. Is this poor IT, or just bizarre award rules?

So, its possible, but they price it as 2 segments. I'm now having to fly MEL-SYD-BNE-LAX in J, as it's 10k points and $100 cheaper than flying MEL-BNE in Y, BNE-LAX in J. Spent 30 minutes escalating as it seems like a system limitation vs a conscious business pricing decision, but no luck.

There's an award available MEL-BNE-LAX where the BNE-LAX is available in J, however the MEL-BNE is only available in Y (booked out). I'd like to be on a specific flight, is it possible to book as 1 ticket with the MEL-BNE leg in Y? Pricing as 2 separate tickets obviously bumps the price up.
