Hi all I am flying on CX from Melbourne on the 0100 flight to HK in J. Cathay website says to use QF Int Bus Lounge, but from memory that closes really early. CX website says access to Aspire lounge for Silver members only. IS there another lounge for CX business?

My $0.02. The day you arrive in LA will be hell if you don't sleep on the plane. I hope you are not planning on a theme park on that day. I cannot recommend the Cirque de Soliel show KA at MGM grand enough. Get tickets well in advance.

But if the loads aren't full (that goes for both options) on certain days, which we are lead to believe that MEL-DXB-LHR can get quiet, it tends to help. I suspect that if the numbers don't change upgrades will become harder. IMHO

I hate the idea of this from any one of the reasons listed. I wonder if the trade of of the 2-4-2 to 3-3-3 is so they can offer a sky couch style offering? It would be easier to offer these with 3 instead of 2 seats on the sides. I dunno, just a mini speculation. I am still not too keen either way

+1 not forgetting the lack of seat numbers in Y+ or J to have room for upgrades. At least with 380 you had better odds due to quantity

A question to OP. If you are an NB and are travelling Y how are you getting lounge access? You say you are chasing SC's but for what purpose? This is not to criticise but I am concerned you may be misreading your previous experiences. I suspect the $30 seat selection fee you have encountered is...

Potentially dumb question but wouldn't the OP have a BP given to them in CPH for the onward flights to BNE? I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere. I am used to getting BP's for all legs at the same time when checking in. If so, the the original BP should have a seat assigned to them on check in...

Definitely have a look at some premium nappy/diaper bags. Many of these have pockets galore with [water] bottle holders and all sorts of stuff. They also have good space and such.
