Thanks Oz Turns out our local Flight Centre at Tuggeranong gave us incorrect information on this. They reckoned that because our visitors were travelling from Canberra to Cairns, they would have to recheck their baggage in either Sydney or Brisbane (depending on which connection they took). So...

On Australian domestic air travel, does checked luggage have to be collected and re-checked at every stop, even when flights are connecting, i.e. no stopover? Example: Canberra-Brisbane-Cairns? Warwick

I used to work with someone who was refused a ticket (AUS to NZ) unless he had a doctor's certificate, medication and equipment to inject himself in case of anaphylactic shock in flight. His susceptibility to attack was low, but he was honest and sensible enough to declare it when buying the ticket.

Someone mentioned Tiger's 45-min check-in (rather than 30 mins). I don't think that's unusual these days, even with other airlines. At least that's how it is here in Canberra (with Virgin; not sure about Qantas). Looking at the other problems though, I don't think I'll be flying with the Tiger...
