Hi, Unfortunately I've let 150k+ advantage miles expire. Is there a way to reinstate them without paying the rather large reinstatement fee? (circa USD 1250)? My googling shows that some people have been lucky with a reinstatement challenge (where they need to earn some loyalty points?)

I've had that issue before. When I rang up, I was told that it still counted ! (LoL!)

The taxes and surcharges were approx $900. The agent waived the "agent assist" fee of 7500 points given the issues I had experienced whilst attempting to book it online.

From my own perspective I would: 1. Speak with a insurer who has a track record in insuring more complex medical histories and use them (we had lots going on, so we didn't do this). Could ring cancer council or places like Solaris Cancer Care to see what advice they have. 2. I would not do...

Thanks, that number was great. After spending countless hours on hold, I was able to get through to Qantas and a lovely South African lady helped me out and now my F flight is ticketed. Super happy.

Update: Saw that a flight was available on another day, so booked it and paid for it. It showed in my bookings for a few hours (was never ticketed) and then mysteriously disappeared. Like most on here, I am struggling to get through to QFF on the phone.
