    Buy your booze in Aus duty free (small 200mls) in separate sealed packages costs 50c per pack. Ie Mel to Brun (where you have to take all luggage off as well) finish it off and you can only take sealed packages back on.     Yes they don't have booze on board but will suppy you a glass ( which has now been changed to a plastic one!) and mixers. Where would you get a decent 1 lt. whisky for A$22 in Tassie? Knowing you lot in Hobart, you would brew yor own!!!

    I came back from Fiji end of last year and purchased my ration of malt, not really worth it. Last time I came back from Sing was better but that was 18 mths ago. I tend to agree.

    Am flying Bus. Mel - UK with Royal Brunei in September, Realise it is a "dry" airline. I'm informed we can use United lounge in Mel and Etihad in Lon. Any info? and we can take alcohol on board but must leave any unused. Any futher tit bits re above airline appreciated.

    Will be flying With Royal Brunei and in via Brunei airport they are on about no duty free grog allowed thru customs as Aus customs are not allowing grog purchased over seas to enter. Buy it in Aus!??? Big parties in Brunei?
