    Clever payback?

I see your point, but I still had a laugh at this. My friend was the one who actually, a) suggested I got an amex to get points for a trip to england next year (the only way I could fly there) and b) suggested that I do some research on how it's best to pay him back to maximising my points. Thanks

    Clever payback?

Hello, I'm new to American Express and want to maximise my points (who doesn't!). I owe a friend around about $2500.00 Yes, I could transfer this to them from my savings accounts, but hey, I wouldn't get any points for it. Is there a smart way to go about this? I notice on my rewards...

    American Express Qantas Points

You're right. I've signed up for this card and will start to earn points. I will wait for the next big deal and sign up then to the Premium Card. Does anyone know about canceling etc.. as, once I've got the points across to my frequent flyer card, can I can the amex?

    American Express Qantas Points

Sorry to be rude, but I just spoke to American Express Customer service again, and I spoke to the most useless person on the face of the Earth. I went in with the pitch, I am happy to sign up right now to the Premium card and pay the annual card fee, but I want more that 7500 points. To which...

    American Express Qantas Points

Yes, your right, my mistake. I am intrested in the premium card at 1.25 point per $. It doesn't need to be free, I'm (sort) of happy to pay the $195 a year - I'm hoping the points I earn will offset that enough.

    American Express Qantas Points

Thanks for all the replies. I will go with a card that offers me 1.5 points per $1 spent. I just want to get the best sign up deal up front - 30,000 points is alot better than the current 7500 their offering. 40,000 points on the ultimate american express card, but annual fee is too high...

    American Express Qantas Points

Hello, I've been very foolish, I don't have a card that get me points! I once had a Commonwealth bank credit card that got me point, but unfortunately I didn't read the fine print and when I went to transfer my measly 52,000 points to my Qantas Frequent Flyer card - I was only allowed to...
