Cancelling Qatar Award Booking How Long for Refund?

I am looking at cancelling an award booking for QR flight via Velocity as I want to change the flight to a different date and wanted to know how long after I hit the cancel button do the points re deposit and the funds credit to my credit card?

I cannot answer your specific question, but can’t you just change the date (and pay any difference/penalty)?

Couldn't change the date. Answered my own questions. Points were redeposited and appeared straight away. Refund to credit card still awaiting.

I've cancelled an award a couple of months ago and it took 7 days for the fees to be refunded.

I cancelled via phone (because it was necessary to do so in order to pay the cancellation fee in dollars rather than points) a couple of months ago. I had the points back within seconds, and the fees/taxes rebated to my card (less $60 for cancellation) a few days later (less than a week).

I just cancelled by online rather than phone. How many points do I get deducted for cancelling (as against the cash option)

I think it's 7500 IIRC?

Just made a call to Velocity and they converted the points fee to cash to cover the cancellation. I think the points would have been 9,000 for two passengers.
