Good News! Pyjamas on (almost) all Qantas international flights in J!

I believe PER-SIN is one of the routes that is not included.

That's pretty poor IMHO given the SIN-PER sector IMHO is very much a night flight. People get on board, eat and go to sleep. If it's a cost thing, charge J pax another $5 which would cover the cost of pyjamas and provide a consistant service.

If it's QF72, I can somewhat see why Qantas won't offer PJs - it's a "dinner time" service essentially and the flight time is too short to get proper rest.

Even my last QF flight - QF36 SIN to MEL was only around 7hrs and even though that was an "overnight" flight (leaving SIN at around 8pm, arriving MEL around 6am), I didn't really have enough time to get proper rest after having dinner and before breakfast.

If you skip both meals, then maybe.

If on a 737 though I can completely understand why PJs aren't offered - at least on a widebody one could theoretically "change" into their PJs within their suite - on my QF36 flight there was one person who did just that - they pretty much put on the PJs over their existing outfit and then removed their "outside" clothes from underneath their PJs whilst at their suite - for the bottoms though they did go into the lavatory (thankfully). On a 737, half the aisle would be lined with people to get changed.

With J you're paying for options to be available. I took QF72 last week. I was exhausted. Got on board, had some cheese and slept till the top of descent. Everyone is different. It's a bit like alcohol. Not everyone drinks it, but the option is there should you want it.

Sure, it's not a full night's sleep. However, what does it matter? Sleep is sleep.

So even though you’re tired you can’t sleep without airline provided pyjamas?

I don’t like long pyjamas, would much rather short sleeved top and shorts style bottom for PJs and the option is not there on any carrier should I want it, should they provide those as alternative too?

As a result, I bring my own even if airline is providing them.

Bit of a random question to throw at my given I didn't even hint at having that issue.

In fact, my statement clearly shows that's not an issue for me.

However, they don't provide short pyjamas on any route. At least they're consistant.

My point is, be consitant with the product offering rather than catering to every individuals pyjama style.
