Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Currently in the process of a multi leg, having completed 5 out of the 6 legs, booked in flexible economy, giving me 20SC.

Remaining leg is SIN - SYD for the 20th of March. If i were to cancel this, would we get a credit for the value remaining, or forfeit all costs.

If i were to cancel the remaining leg, and rebook with dollars (963SGD for 40 x 2 SC = 80 SC).

Is it really worth the 20 extra SC?

With the current plan before my points reset, i will either be:

1195 SC on current forecast of trips, or 1215 SC if i try for the extra 20. That leaves me the month of April and May to find the extra points with planning some trips.

Here is another FAQ:

Yes, flights booked with Amex travel credit will be eligible as long as they meet the other promo criteria.
Wonder if there's time to open a qf amex ultimate, get the card and use the credit... 6 days, post to WA might be pushing it

Ok I just registered. I only have three eligible paid flights so far this Qantas year.

I just tried to check what a good status run from Brisbane might be. Brisbane to Wellington is being advertised on the web site as return from $1284 for Dec-Jan 2024/2025. But when you go to book the sale fare, it ends up being $1517 and you can only get that by flying direct. Is this the end of status runs?

No, but you did need to pounce early on Sale fares. There can be very limited seats to start with and they can sell out quickly depending on the route - despite the headline price still being displayed on the website/app.

So who just booked a large multi-sector international itinerary? Who do we have to thank for triggering this? 🤣
I just booked PER-LHR return in J last week. You're all welcome.

Granted the flight over is on EK metal so I'm only missing out on the DSC for the return leg. Wouldn't have been enough to bump me up to WP regardless so I'm not too upset.

Earlier than usual, ahh didnt see this coming. Now to come up with a plan...

Looks like no NZ sale this time lol

Another FAQ:

Yes, QFLink flights are eligible for DSC including Alliance E190s operating as QF flight numbers.

If one leg is done as a Classic Reward and the return leg is done as a revenue fare in the same booking will that cause any issues when the status credits are awarded? Or will those legs need to be booked separately to trigger the PC SCs correctly?

I made a booking this morning for a domestic trip we already had planned with the above combination. In my QFF activity summary it notes “combined classic reward & points plus pay”, but I didn’t use any points beyond the Classic Reward.

It’s probably a silly question, just had a moment of anxiety thinking I’d messed it up.

No issue. Each leg will be assessed per its booking class and awarded SC and then DSC as appropriate. No need to separate.
