I'm flying MEL-DPS with JQ on Friday and assumed I'd have to check in at the airport based on previous posts here.

I've completed online check in and I now have a mobile boarding pass which suggests to can bypass the check in queue if I don't have a bag.

Does anyone have recent experience ex AU on JQ to validate this? I'll be delighted if I can maximise my F lounging time.

Flew on JQ to Singapore late last year.
Online check in, boarding pass in the Apple wallet.
Hand luggage only, and nil issues going through at all.
Enjoy the extra lounge time.

Have done it on JQi at MEL international fairly recently also.

It was fine all the way. Security, passport control, lounge, gate.

I decided to check some luggage as I had a 30kg allowance with my Max bundle. I arrived at the check in area about 3:15 before departure. Tried to use the auto machine and got a message that check in opened 3:00 before departure.

At the appointed time I completed CI on the machine, tagged my bags and 2 mins later was off to security. No queue and I was through immigration in 5 mins and in the lounge 10 mins after check in opened.

A much better experience than when I flew MEL-OOL a year ago out of the international terminal and had to queue for a good 30 mins to check in with an agent.

Another data point, I have an exit row and it didn't require any additional formalities which surprises me. Maybe they'll suss me out at the gate.

I used ONCI DPR-BNE last year and it worked fine.

Only thing was, in not attending the check-in, I didn't get the invite to the lounge (was flying J). On getting to the lounge, they had to call someone to check my admissibility, even though it was clearly J on the e-BP. Took a few mins, but cleared and OK.

Only JQ J with Max bundle get lounge access. Was that on the BP? They probably had to check that. Not an issue at a QF lounge with status obviously.

Hopefully someone can provide a recent up date on the JQi Dom leg process.

It was on the 'notes', second page of the BP saved to my Apple Wallet, but I only found that while they were on the phone checking.

I'M WP so no issues there.
Not at partner lounges eg WP in JQ whY or J (without bundle) at DPS gets to rub shoulders with everyone else. Which is what I assumed @RooFlyer was referring and their recent visit/JQ experience.

I've got Priority Pass for DPS. I believe there's a PP lounge there.
There are Concordia lounges in both the Int and Dom terminals of DPS accessible with PP, both are pretty bad and I wouldn't go out of my way to be at the airport any longer than I needed to be just to use these lounges. Out of all the food I ate in Bali, I was certain these lounges were gonna be where I'd get food poisoning - barely lukewarm bain maries with food that looked like it had been sitting there for ages along with poor drink options and dirty seating.

There's also a Concordia lounge at LOP and it is worse than the DPS ones.
