I had Similar, Was a Velocity Gold/Platinum customer for 11 years as the offers/benefits made it worth it, but it hasn't so much for me these days. Hadn't spent much the past year while i churned other cards so it's not to surprising but i rang through and wasn't offered anything after...
Just had the same. Went through check in, tried to move to from 6C to 7D, got told i've already booked Economy X so i'd be forfeiting that payment, So i moved up to 4C for free. Happy with that for the flight to Perth! haha.
Also appears to be buggy if you're a silver who chose a preferred seat for free and try to move to another seat. It tells you to call the call centre to change it. Curious to see what it's like when i check in online tomorrow and if it will let me move around then.
Definitely hoping they do! Pooling the status credits from my partner gets me within 11 of gold and this would be the most reasonable way to get there haha. Not even sure what I can excessively buy..
Definitely doesn't seem like in a great state lately. Partner was flying BNE-MEL last Wednesday morning. Cancelled the night before, the new flight was then cancelled in the morning and directed to go through Canberra. This was then compounded by the Optus network issue and none of her family...
Is being reported that ANA reward seats can now be booked on the website now, though I couldn't immediately find any but only did a few quick searches. Points the same for Sydney and Perth
42k Economy, 78k business
Looks like the preferred seating is free for reward seats though, as a Silver at least. Was even able to move up to Row 6 now, which i usually don't get access to until 72 hours out or so. Though the taxes for reward seats just went up recently too so i guess it's all relative... At least the...
Has anyone booked a reward seat yet then? Looks like HND-SYD just slots into zone 6 on the reward chart (by 37 miles!), but would be good to know for sure if anyone has booked. Plus if reward availability does look like it matches what united shows.
It was essentially just through instagram. You would get notified of their instagram story and the rewards would go live. Or in theory you could just keep checking the estore website and try get lucky at the right time.
Good work on the flight! Was a minute or so late on the instagram notification and still stuck in queue at about 1/3. Had good luck past weeks though i guess so can't complain!
