I always use DeathStar for a baseline of how bad an Economy seat can really be.
And it doesn't seem to matter which metric that you use for comparison it always DeathStar that claims the wooden spoon.
Thanks for nothing Joyce.
Took 30 minutes from Craiglie to Palm Cove this morning at 9.00am.
Only ferals I saw were so 2 wheels - no taxes or rego paid paid but at least there were only 3 of them 🤢
Cairns Airport due to flood this afternoon with a predicted flood level over 3.8 metres from the Barron River at the end of the runway.
Currently (Sun 17/12 13:15) all roads into Cairns are closed due to flooding, fallen trees or land slips. :(
Sounds like it‘s going to get worse before it...
Can’t wait for cabin dividers and rope to go into the new config 738’s and the 2 ex Silk Air 738’s.
The constant stream of wanna be’s to the J cabin mqakes me feel like I’ve booked Qantas J by mistake o_O
Not much happening with new Promo codes recently (although VUZ11 is still working for J Bookings) but I recently came across this Virgin Code - BQL18 for Economy (Choice 5%) & (Lite 2%).
No info on when it expires and it doesn't work on 'sale' fares.
It's better than nothing I suppose ...
Today on VA336 meal orders/service went 1A/1C, 2D/2F, 2A/2C, 1D/1F.
I was in 1A so can’t be sure if there was any system to this arrangement but pretty certain there were no other Club members on board in J.
I think it’s actually been this way for the last 9 months or so.
No differentiation between WP / Club and regular Business even to the point of service going first to 1D/1F when myself and and a WP were seated in 1A / 1C.
The recognition from cabin crew that used to exist has pretty much gone...
No they don’t always take Beyond orders first. But they most certainly used to.
Thursday week ago on VA785, my BNE-CNS flight I was in 2F and served last - only choice left was some vego muck so I opted for chips with cheese and crackers.
BNE shut down for all tarmac ops this afternoon 28/09 acc thunderstorms from 1345 - still waiting for resumption at 1510 and no sign of it clearing yet.
Can imagine that the knock on effects along the East coast will be pretty bad.
Many anxious pax here trying to get to MEL for the Grand...
So that would be a definite breach of Contract which the ACCC must investigate and enforce yet more penalties on this poor excuse for an Airline known as Qantas.
