"The perfect destination for everyone" - is that even possible?

So true. My tastes have changed over the years, along with my budget.

"The perfect destination for everyone" - is that even possible?

Sounds like a throwaway line that no human has really thought about. I can’t imagine a destination that is perfect for everyone. I have my favourite countries and cities and regions that I will happily travel to over and over. And yet I speak to people who dislike those same areas, even though...

Card Promotions New Offer 30k Points or 200 status credits with CC Sign-Up

Does anyone remember the minimum spend criteria for the Virgin Money card? Was it 1.5k for two months?

Charged $150 for being 5 mins late, system won't let me check in online

I am rarely able to check in online to the domestic segment before an international connection, so I always allow plenty of time at the airport beforehand. VA does advise getting to the airport earlier when you have an international connection. It must be disappointing to miss out on the J...

Singapore Airlines A350 Premium Economy ... best seats?

Not that I know. I last flew SQ PE in November and the loos were shared with economy

Singapore Airlines A350 Premium Economy ... best seats?

It’ll tell you how much when you go to choose the seats. It varies depending on the flight. I tend to go for an aisle in the middle row. If you’re an aisle person, I’d avoid the back row because the PE toilets are shared with economy down that way and people can bump your chair when they’re...

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

SYD-HBA, we were offered a vego pasta that was further described as “tomato” when I enquired about the sauce (I like to avoid cream sauces). From the taste and colour I reckon it was probably pumpkin. All the pasta takers were asked on serving if they wanted some bonus chorizo. I get it - it was...

Booking Qatar with Privilege, then changing when Velocity accepted?

Just in case anyone finds themselves in the same boat, while I wasn’t able to change my number from QR to VA at the airport (as mentioned earlier in the thread), I was able to delete my points with Qatar after the flights had been credited by ringing up Qatar. Then I was able to assign them to...

    Is VA axing HBA-ADL?

    That would be super annoying!

Virgin Australia - Promo Codes (ongoing)

MCU43 is still active. Saved $60 off choice flights. Curiously, it also seemed to work on the lite fares.

    Is VA axing HBA-ADL?

Nah I’ll probably fly on a lite fare. I have no problems picking up the 8 sectors elsewhere.

    Is VA axing HBA-ADL?

Thanks all. I find the seasonal designation kinda funny because I do most of my travel from the smaller island in winter and spring. I have to get my vitamin D somehow. I’ll try and see the silver lining in all this. More segments = more status credits.

    Is VA axing HBA-ADL?

VA’s direct HBA-ADL flights look like they’re coming to an end at the end of April, annoyingly, the week before I next want to fly that route. I wonder if it’s a seasonal thing or whether VA is cutting the route altogether. The direct flights were terrific. It also explains why I couldn’t get...

Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

This thread makes out that VA’s proposal is outrageous when in fact pets are taken on planes and trains in other countries without the mass meltdowns imagined by many of my fellow AFFs. I look forward to the company of my future doggo flight neighbours.
