    Massive dissapointment

I did SQ J MEL-SIN overnight return once, and never again! Flight time is sadly too short to actually sleep. Supper was very disappointing. I'm short so okay with the sleeping position however got woken up 2 hours before landing to have breakfast so not happy at all. I did receive amenity kits...

Goodbye HX - a short tale of woe

Oh yes I have been there before. Guess you missed my TR for that https://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/threads/a-not-so-cold-japanese-winter.95115/ Liked the hotel so much that I'm going back this year

Japan 2020 - The Idiot Returns

I was once in a bar in Kanazawa, with the help of Google Translate, talked to the guy sitting next to me for 2 hours! Not that we got a lot through, mind you... 🤣 I remembered that he was a local of Kanazawa, worked in construction, liked the izakaya a lot, and recommended a sake....that's...

Goodbye HX - a short tale of woe

Myoko Kogen, I'll be there in 12 days! Not skiing though, I'm going for the hotel. Oh and maybe some snowshoeing...TBC Speedy recovery!

What to do with bags at Narita Japan for overnight stopover

Did a very similar overnight. Just take the luggage to the shuttle bus, easy enough. Then as @drron pointed out, bus driver, hotel staff, etc will take care of it. I don't think it's too had, that's from someone who uses Ta-q-bin all the time!

Tokyo Haneda slot - how will Virgin Operate it?

Booked MEL - BNE - HND early Nov, 71500p. I'm out of Velocity points now so the return leg will be on SQ.

Koyo Chasing in Tohoku Japan (#9) and some last minute shenanigans

Panasonic Leica 8-18mm F2.8-4.0, a very good investment indeed if I say so myself  Yes more Taiwan visits in the future definitely, work well with my annual Japan trip anyways.

I wouldn't call that much better weather by the way....more like my F1.8 prime lens and photoshop skills 🤣

Koyo Chasing in Tohoku Japan (#9) and some last minute shenanigans

I'd love to go to Hirosaki specially for the Sakura. It is however not the best time of the year for me to get away though. Work wise Oct/Nov is most suitable plus I leave Melbourne for a while during hayfever season! 🤣

Koyo Chasing in Tohoku Japan (#9) and some last minute shenanigans

That's it for Japan trip #9 and Taiwan #1. Tohuku probably is not on everybody's Japan must see list, fair enough. But I think the region has so much to offer, if it's not your first trip, I strongly recommend. Ginzan, Zao, Nyuto onsen, Oirase stream, Sakura at Hirosaki Castle, Lake Towada, Lake...

Koyo Chasing in Tohoku Japan (#9) and some last minute shenanigans

G&T, plum drink. A quick supper before going to sleep. Chinese breakfast in the morning. A self serve bar was set up behind the business class cabin. Forgot to take pictures :p

Koyo Chasing in Tohoku Japan (#9) and some last minute shenanigans

Speaking of amenity kit...not sure why but The North Face bag was inside a pouch, which I think it's odd. Dental kit, eyeshade, earplugs...then there's a morrocanoil hair treatment (??), Laneige sleeping mask and lip mask. Unusual but I liked the masks. Slippers were very good but I forgot to...
