Yep, a piece of jewelry. Still kicking myself for the mistake. Grabbed the wrong bag in the rush for the Uber 😭 More annoyingly, it was for my mum and I won’t be heading over to see her again for another 6-12 months.
I just came back from overseas and was clearly flagged for my (attempted) high value claim. Officers approached me to ask if I’d made an TRS claim. It was after the smart gates but before I got to baggage claims.
I found it odd as TRS had already rejected my claim since I’d accidentally brought...
Thanks, that’s so interesting! I claimed a lot last time but left it all overseas (as gifts). I remember checking my SmartGate ticket and not seeing any codes printed (I was expecting something like the SSSS code in the US)
Out of curiosity, does anyone know how customs know who to search at the gates? Is there something printed on the Smartgate ticket? (I’m under the $900 limit for my next trip but have always wondered)
My vinomofo order turned up yesterday and sat in the sun for 4hrs. The bottles were burning hot.
Unfortunately I didn’t know they’d arrived as 1) they didn’t knock and 2) tracking hadn’t updated to say it’d been delivered
Unsure what to do as it’s not really vinomofo’s fault
It came in a cardboard box, and it was 40 degrees at both ends.
Not sure if CellarOne did this on purpose, but I ordered last week and they didn’t ship until Tuesday this week. Very grateful as the weather had become significantly cooler in Sydney.
I check the weather first in both cities...
My CellarDoor order arrived today.. it’s been shipped in 40 degree weather so I guess the odds are that the wine could have been heat affected? Maybe I’ll gift it to someone who doesn’t know much about wine ;)
Yep very lucky! Although the glassware isn’t all that great at any of them. Pretty sure most of them won’t have decanters either, but I can see past that for good food.
