Double Status Credits promotion (Book by 27/2/24, travel 28/2/24-14/2/25)

It appears popular opinion is against me. I've been around various fora long enough to predict what internet drama and vitriol is likely to ensue should Qantas decide to close this particular loophole, and it's drama and vitriol that I can live without. So I've deleted the post. Though it has...

Double Status Credits promotion (Book by 27/2/24, travel 28/2/24-14/2/25)

Hm. It seems my post has caused a bit of a stir, both in this thread and via DM. I admit to some confusion. This entire website exists (in part) in order to share tips and tricks not known to the average flyer. Everything I posted I learned from this very forum, via public posts. I find it...

Jayne Hrdlicka to resign as CEO

When your company is ready to float, you no longer need a CEO who does heavy lifting.

Article: Use Qantas Points to Book Eurostar Trains

I'm surprised you weren't able to access the Eurostar lounge in London traveling first class as it's supposed to be for Business Premier passengers and Carte Blanche and Etoile Club Eurostar members (also certain Amex card holders). Unless by "first class" you mean "Standard Premier" which is...

The definitive thread on Qantas IT gripes.

Remember when AFF discovered you could view someone else's personal data, including answers to security questions (mother's maiden name), on the Acquire Business Rewards website?

Get Public Servants out of CL now!

The linked URL was malformed, so have corrected it.

    Is Qantas for real?

On the topic of sick leave, I assumed that the reason air traffic controllers have unlimited sick leave is because it's not the sort of job you want someone who's feeling unwell turning up just because they've run out of their allotment. (A certain episode of Breaking Bad comes to mind...)

    Allan Fels's Price Gouging Report

How about joining with the Northern Territory so you can offer a Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Service? Personally I can't see Jetstar being hived off from Qantas - seems like a particularly dramatic move that I can't think of any precedent for. (Happy to be corrected.) I'm no...

Backdated Qantas Hotel Points- Points Club Plus

Based on what serfty posted, I assume Qantas Hotels is a "Non-airline Partner" as it's provided by a third party* under the Qantas brand (and is not a Qantas Shopping retail partner). So the accrual date is presumably whenever the Qantas Hotels notifies Qantas Loyalty, which would be some time...

    Qantas new executive team

Arguably that's what happened with Alan Joyce - he got tipped out earlier than planned because of all the bad news swirling around Qantas at the time, which he was (in the main) held responsible for. I suppose the question is to what extent Hudson will be able to differentiate herself from her...

    Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Are you regularly spending lots of money with Woolworths? They have little reason to offer incentives if they're already getting your business.

Qantas hires consultants to improve on-time performance

It's the old joke: What's the definition of a consultant? Someone you hand your watch to, and they tell you the time. (Then they keep the watch.) More seriously, in addition to serving as a scapegoat if things go wrong, and offering a different perspective, management consultants also have the...

Changes to Qantas Travel Money effective 27 February 2024

Every so often there are offers for a decent amount of bonus points if you put money onto the card. You probably get a worse exchange rate compared to some other providers, but if you think of premium you pay as a "pay $X for Y,000 points" trade off, it can be worth it.
