Thanks, that's what I thought. I wasn't changing the JNB-DOH-LHR but MAD-JFK to ARN-JFK but have decided to hold off. Maybe after I get to London then might try it as QR would be done and over and only AA/QF to negotiate.
Yeah took me 8 calls and all Fiji / SA to change and it went through all...
I was thinking of making one more change but given its 2.5 weeks to go and I have QR from JNB-LHR am worried. Anyone recently managed to get ticketed while on the call?
Finally sorted my ticketing. The call centre staff was on hold to points and then ticketing for over 2 hours.
I highly recommend not changing stuff ATM if ur trip is soon!
8 calls so far in 3 days to get a simple date change re-ticketed and still no cigar. One of them managed to charge an authorisation on the card but that was over 24 hours ago.
Thankfully no CX on my list as one time in the past some of the flights dropped off after 24 hours. Preparing for the...
Yup can confirm, around 5-7 or so over 6 months. All auto handled n ranging from 5-30 mins, terminal, aircraft etc. In my case last one was a favorable change to a direct flight on a non MAX8
I needed to change the dates on my one my flights so called up, got through within half an hour n she made the change but could not reissue tickets n gave the old 24 hours spiel that I know is bad. I called back after 5 hours n they sent an email through to ticketing but no tickets yet. Will...
Ta! That was it for the QR JNB-MAD leg. I booked instead to JNB-LHR and will train it to the continent. So I have 2 QF (SYD-JNB, LAX-SYD), 1 QR/BA (JNB-DOH-LHR), 1 IBERIA (MAD-JFK), 2AA(JFK-MIA, MIA-LAS)
Annoying that Alaska lists J as F so it prices the whole trip at F. Would have gone to...
Hey guys,
For some reason on the step after selecting flights and filling passenger details it errors out saying it could not confirm booking (step prior to payment). Unsure if there's something else wrong that someone else also has noticed? Tried taking legs out but still happens. Happens on...
I called up and cancelled, should get the points back in 24-48 hours and taxes in 10 weeks. I intend on closing that Amex to avoid the annual fees and so I can get that value in cash instead of credit.
I don't mind the tax/fees component taking as long so long as I get the points back immediately as I will try n rebook in late July/early August.
Has anyone cancelled, if so did u do it online on the booking or callup/chat?
Most of my flights in the booking have been cancelled. I'd rather cancel n take the 78k point hit booking next time but worry about the refund timeline.
To those that cancelled their flights, did U do so using the online manage ur booking or had to call up? I can't see the chat option anymore either on the app. Also the manage ur booking shows flight credit, not points + taxes
Getting it noted on the booking is a good step as if the rule is systemic that they cannot override when the time actually comes U may point to it for manual issuance.
