Credit Card Retention Offers Are Dead
When calling up to cancel your credit card, it was previously common practice for the bank to offer reduced fees, bonus points or other inducements to keep the card. But credit card retention offers such as annual fee waivers are no longer legal in Australia. When cancelling a credit card, banks are now required to action the request without suggesting an alternative or attempting to retain the customer.

United Reduces Flights to Sydney
United Airlines will cut back its flights from Sydney to Los Angeles and Houston during the northern summer period. From 31 March until 26 October 2019, frequency on United's Sydney-Los Angeles route will be reduced to 3x weekly. Meanwhile, service on the Sydney-Houston route will drop to 4x weekly.
