Why You Shouldn't Use Mileage Brokers
We all love to get a great deal on Business and First Class flights. There are plenty of legitimate ways to save money on flights, for example by taking advantage of airline sales or redeeming your own frequent flyer points. But some deals are, in fact, too good to be true. You may have come across mileage brokers such as "I Only Fly First Class" or "Alpha Flight Guru". These are online mileage more...
Airline Jargon: What is a Long Sell?
Ever tried to book a frequent flyer redemption ticket, only to be told there's no award availability? Upcoming Webinar:
Amex Points Devaluation: What Now?
  webinar
You've probably heard by now that American Express will make significant changes to Amex credit card earn & burn rates from 15 April 2019. It's the biggest shake-up to Australian credit card rewards since the RBA interchange fee regulations were introduced back in July 2017!

If you have points in an Amex Membership Rewards Ascent or Gateway account, your existing points may become less valuable overnight if you don't redeem them by 14 April 2019. To avoid this, you may consider transferring some or all of your Membership Rewards points to an airline frequent flyer program before the devaluation kicks in.

Next Wednesday's Frequent Flyer Solutions webinar will discuss strategies for transferring points out of Amex prior to the devaluation. The webinar will also discuss how to maximise your credit card rewards going forward, after the Amex Membership Rewards changes take effect.

This webinar will be take place at 8pm (AEDT) on Wednesday, 23 January 2019. To attend this webinar (or receive a recording of the replay), you must register in advance.
