Qantas Upgrades in Exchange for Flexibility
There's not much worse than being bumped from a flight at the airport! Luckily for Qantas passengers, the airline is proactively working to avoid this. It's now offering free upgrades to passengers willing to give up their seats on oversold Qantas flights.

An AFF member recently received a phone call from Qantas the day before they were booked to fly from Melbourne to Hong Kong. As the flight was overbooked, Qantas offered this member a free upgrade to Business class if they were prepared to travel the following day instead.

Cash Not Accepted on Jetstar Flights
Jetstar will no longer accept cash payment for in-flight purchases from 1 May. From this date, you'll only be able to pay for drinks, meals, entertainment, blankets and comfort packs with a credit card. With cash payments on Jetstar flights being removed, Jetstar passengers without a credit card will no longer be able to purchase any of the overpriced food on board. Redeem Qantas Points for JAL Flights Online
It's finally possible to redeem Qantas points for Japan Airlines flights on the Qantas website! This means that Qantas award bookings on all Oneworld airlines can now be made online.
