If you’re looking for a new credit card, sign-up bonus point offers can be an easy way to earn a significant amount of Qantas Frequent Flyer points towards your next trip!

The top Qantas bonus points offer during August 2020 is still the Qantas Premier Titanium credit card, which comes with a generous serve of 150,000 bonus Qantas points. That’s enough for a one-way Qantas Business class flight from Australia to New York or London (once international flights resume). It would also be more than enough Qantas points to fly around the world on Oneworld airlines in Economy class. But this card does have a hefty $1,200 annual fee, and is only available to individuals with an annual income of at least $200,000.

During August 2020, there are still two credit cards that come with both Qantas Frequent Flyer points and status credits as part of the sign-up bonus. The ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card comes with 100,000 Qantas points and 75 status credits if you spend at least $3,000 in the first 3 months. (You’ll also get an additional 30,000 points if you keep the card for at least a year.) And the Qantas Premier Platinum card comes with 75 status credits for making any eligible purchase by 30 November, plus 20,000 bonus Qantas points each month that you spend at least $1,500 during the first 4 months.

Don’t forget that up to 125,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer points earned from any credit card sign-up offer will also count towards Points Club membership. You’ll need to earn 150,000 Qantas points during your membership year to reach Points Club status, or 350,000 Qantas points for Points Club Plus membership, with no more than 20,000 of those points coming from flights. Qantas Points Club benefits include complimentary Qantas Club passes or membership and the possibility to earn status credits for Qantas-marketed Classic Flight Reward bookings.

If you’re thinking about applying for a new credit card and want to maximise your frequent flyer points, here are our picks for the best Qantas credit card offers available in August 2020…
