AFF Member Profile
This week, we interviewed AFF member RAM from the Sydney. RAM joined Australian Frequent Flyer in 2011 and has so far made 2,098 posts.

Q: Where did you go on your last trip?
A: Germany & Austria via Singapore in January 2020. I left Tyrol just before the COVID-19 outbreak there.

Q: Where will you go when the current travel bans are lifted?
A: The Big Island of Hawaii because it is such a unique and friendly place. Nearly every climatic condition in the world can be found on the 'Big Island' and it is has not been commercialised unlike Oahu. Drivers stop to let you out of your driveway!

Q: Favourite airline?
A: Dual winners: Hawaiian Airlines & Singapore Airlines. Hawaiian Airlines has truly friendly staff if you make an effort & the airline really sets the scene for your Hawaiian arrival as soon as you're on the plane. (Also 2 x 32kg bag allowance in Y is nice as well!) Singapore Airlines has nearly as friendly staff and rewards availability in both business & first class through to Europe on the A380 is a must at least once.

Q: What's one piece of advice you would give to a new AFF member?
A: If you don't ask the question you'll NEVER get the answer...

Q: Favourite thread on AFF?
A: Pre-CV it was a couple of the Singapore Airlines threads detailing how to book premium redemptions the smart way. More recently it's been the Virgin threads, especially Virgin Australia to be sold to Bain Capital - trying to correct the seemingly concerted misinformation campaign against Virgin. Yes, I hope the ability to transfer Velocity Frequent Flyer points to Singapore Airlines resurfaces post-Administration!
