This promotion is somewhat strangely called 'The Billion Point Giveaway':

Velocity members will receive 15% bonus Velocity Points when they transfer points from Participating Card Partners to Velocity between 1 and 31 May 2017 or until 1 billon bonus Velocity Points is exhausted (whichever occurs first).

The 15% bonus Velocity Points offer is only available for points transfers from ANZ Rewards accounts, ANZ Business Rewards accounts, CommBank Award accounts, Citibank Citi Rewards accounts, Diners Club Reward accounts, Bank of Queensland Q Rewards accounts (Platinum credit card holders only), Suncorp Bank Rewards accounts, Card Services Rewards Accounts, Westpac Altitude Rewards Auto-Redemptions (only when Altitude Rewards members have opted into Velocity Auto-Redemption), St George Amplify Auto-Redemptions, BankSA Amplify Auto-Redemptions, Bank of Melbourne Amplify Auto-Redemptions (only when Amplify Rewards members have opted into Velocity Auto-Redemption), HSBC Rewards accounts (Platinum and Premier credit card holders only), NAB Rewards accounts, Australian American Express Card Members, including David Jones American Express Card Members enrolled in the Membership Rewards program (this offer excludes American Express New Zealand Card Members) and flybuys (Participating Card Partners).

ANZ seem to have an additional 35% bonus (50% transfer bonus overall).

Oh, and don't transfer until tomorrow (1st May)! There is an explicit 'FAQ' which states anything transferred today (30th April) is not eligible.

Using the my bonus tab, it appears that transfers from Amex Ascent Premium get an additional 10% bonus (25% total).

Just set up my Westpac Auto-redemption and the next redemption date is scheduled 2 June. Unbelievable.

These transfers are every other month now. Velocity must be desperate for cash.

These promotions run normally twice a year and I think this is the first one this year.

You could be confusing with the 15% flybuys promotion which is totally different. (The flybuys promotion does seem to be always operating and I guess it's because it's new and also if BP pulls out they would be considering options there around flybuys/Coles.)

I suspect that is the case. I have been watching with interest - time to clean out my Citibank stash ... free for life it may be, it's not getting a look in going forward.

From the T&Cs:

For members whose subsequent statement cycle occurs after 31 May 2017, the 15% bonus will be applied to the Velocity Points automatically transferred on their June 2017 statement cycle

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Some of us (myself included) got a targeted promo last month with the same bonuses.. I (mostly) cleaned out my ANZ which I am just about to cancel, now I can get the rest of the points that didn't make it in time for that one :)

I would have been pissed had I accepted last months targeted offer of 15% with ANZ given 50% on current promotion.

Just on that with seemingly constant 35% to now 50% ANZ-velocity transfer bonuses it would have to make the ANZ black about the best Velocity Visa earn out there at 1.35 - 1.50 velocity points per $1. That said i wonder if these ANZ hefty bonuses will continue post August.... anyone's guess.

You are assuming the 1 billion cap won't be reached by the end of the month?

If they reach the 1 billion cap at all. I have no idea how many points get transferred through this sort of promotion, but I would have thought the choice of a billion would be around making sure it wasn't reached....

The email I got includes regular Flybuys transfers

I must be blind as a bat - as I can't see any mention of 10% extra of Ascent Premium. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.

You are not blind as VFF have changed their site since I checked it last night.

However, the Amex MR site confirms the extra 10% for Ascent Premium customers -

Transfer your Membership Rewards points between 1 May 2017 and 31 May 2017 and receive 15% Bonus Velocity Points, or 25% Bonus Velocity Points for Card Members enrolled in Membership Rewards Premium Ascent*. Bonus Points offer is part of Velocity’s Billion Point Giveaway campaign and is limited to 1 billion Bonus Points*.

Most likely referring to the recent targeted 15% that serfty also posted about - http://www.australianfrequentflyer....nts-points-transfers-79154-3.html#post1614259

Have you received the bonus points? http://www.australianfrequentflyer....locity/targeted-bonus-points-15-cc-82257.html

As a reference to others, I did a manual transfer from ANZ to Velocity yesterday afternoon, and the points + 50% bonus were already in my account this morning :D
I had been holding off waiting for a decent transfer bonus from ANZ, so very happy!
