Close...YVR as north american came in 9th. I don't consider any Australian airport worthy of top 10 spot, admittedly I haven't see Hobart airport.

I call YVR Canadian...

I wouldn't disagree with SIN and HKG rated at the top.

Boy, they tried really hard to get Nth American representation in there.

YVR International isn't bad, but I wouldn't call it anything special. One issue is the very long walks to immigration on arrival and also the convoluted transiting from DOM to INTL.

And Tom Bradley at LAX the 9th best terminal anywhere? Obviously the very recent changes make it more palatable but even now its hardly anything more special, than, say MEL or SYD international. And the changes still aren't finished (eg check-in area shops etc still behind hoardings when I was there a couple of weeks ago).

Hobart in top of the bottom

Agree, YVR is nice & certainly the best Canadian Airport, but many other's in Europe are better & not mentioned.

I cant believe LAX ranks that high..... Im mean really ?

Someone must have walked around LAX with beer googles on when passing Judgement of the terminal:confused:

TBIT making the list? Wow that extension really must be good to have lifted the whole place up.
Will get to see first hand in a few weeks...

I keep hearing that SIN is suppose to be excellent, prob is my experience at SIN is limited to checkin - immi - QF Lounge - security - plane... So I really can't comment on what it's actually like. My experience at HKG has been 50% lounge time, 50% without lounge... Whilst I know there are certainly some shops up near immi, my times without lounge I've simply gone up to the gate. Whilst there is certainly ample power around, the seats won't super comfortable (and what shops there are near the gates out in the extremities are extremely expensive, eg small bottle of drink = more expensive than my entire dinner and drinks the night before), I didn't see why HKG is anything overly special (then again, I'm not a shopaholic).

I always thought Orlando (MCO) was a nice airport, but I haven't been there for a few years now.

SIN and ICN get my vote too. The South Koreans run a much underrated country (which is a major trading partner of Australia's and a good place to visit: streets ahead of mainland China). It's far more enjoyable to tranist through many Asian airports than those in the Middle East.

If there was a vote for worst major airport, DXB would get my nod. I cannot believe how a minority seem to love going through it. It's not even a poor man's Changi. KUL is reasonable but I have not been to KUL LCCT.

MNL may not be popular due to T1's age (minor refurbishment is occurring) but T3 at MNL is an enjoyable experience. HKG is quite good, but behind SIN and ICN. LHR is poor except for the excellent Heathrow Express rail link to London Paddington.

I agree that anyone who rated North American airports highly must be on some substance.

Or a person who comments on news limited articles who has never actually traveled anywhere in their life...

You sure you not also partaking in said substances?

I easily agree that SIN is the best. I often pass through SIN and from a comfort POV I find that their terminals are much more relaxing than any other, maybe it's the air or something but it just feels that way. However I disagree with ICN, I have been through that airport six times over the passed 12 or so months and it feels like another typical busy terminal, and the mad rush that everyone seems to be airside. It didn't feel relaxing at all. But their transit tours are pretty neat if anyone is on a short/long transit.
