I like the Novotel at AKL.
I cannot believe the Stamford Grand was placed ahead of it. It's not walking distance

Agree, and I dont agree with Regal HK being better than CP Changi, of course its likely that my hotel membership is influencing that opinion.

I know it's Skytrax so one shouldn't believe anything that is published under this banner, but the Stamford Grand Adelaide as an airport hotel...really? It's located in Glenelg, your faster in the CBD (where all the other major hotels are) than in Glenelg from the airport terminal. And btw it is not 'Grand' at all, quite tired.

The Novotel AKL Airport is definitely missing on that list, no. 1 airport hotel in Australia/Pacific for me.

Recommend Stamford Sydney airport (5min shuttle), excellent hotel & service, good size room, great bed, nice toiletries, pub / bar next door with good food and icy cold beers. Maybe not in world best airport hotels but great place to stay.

Agreed.

The Novotel AKL Airport is great. I'd rank it above most non-airport hotels that I've stayed at.

Customs Hotel at LAX is very cool, especially the poolside bar.

IC Tahiti should be in the list. You cannot beat staying in OWB or swimming in the infinity pool and watching planes take off and land!

Manila Marriott Hotel opposite T3 is very good, except that some (not me) are critical of its relatively shallow pool. Many USA residents stay there.

Always the Novotel AKL airport for me. 2 more stays coming up next month.

Anyone got an opinion on the Holiday Inn at the airport at SCL. Got 2 stays there in Sept and havnt had much info on it.

Holiday Inn and Stamford Plaza at SYD gets an average from us. We tend to use the Stamford more as it's a bit closer with better airport views. The Graphic Arts club is very close & has a courtesy bus pickup/drop off. We will try Rydges next time (& maybe the Rowers club).

No 4: The Kempinski at Munich is very impressive, stayed there only once.
At 21:00pm on the night before our early morning departure, the 'bell hop' drove us around to Departures, with our checked luggage, then carried it to the checkin counter so we could check-in early. He then drove us back around to the hotel. Similar high level of service in the restaurant.

Very glad to see grand hyatt dfw/ft worth on there. Great hotel, very quite rooms, large, clean, nice bathrooms, attentive & friendly staff. I always book the runway rooms, business plan, internet, local & national phone calls, breaky included.

Stayed at Rydges Airport Sydney last week care of Air Pacific cancelled flight :( , pretty good hotel , very convenient short stroll over the road , but airside rooms little noisy till planes stop flying. Dinner Buffet very average .

Crown Plaza Singapore Airport was really good , I was in a non air side room & no noise at all , club suite was so spacious easily fit family - 2 adults , 2 yr old on a roll away & 12 week baby in a cot which we wheeled into the massive walk in wardrobe !!! club lounge & dinner canapes / breakfast were pretty good too.

Not necessarily in order but the Grand Hyatt DFW, the Fairmont Vancouver Airport, the Sofitel Heathrow and the Novotel Auckland are all brilliant in terms of location, facilities, and appearance...We have stayed at all of these hotels multiple times and they are again on our list for this years DONE4

IMO the CP at Singapore is the best I have experienced but in LAX try the Sheraton Gateway or the CP both quiet and close via the free shuttle bus. Always join the clubs to get tge best service ie early checkin or late checkout

Nicest room (though a short stay - midnight-ish checkin, early checkout next day) was Sofitel Athens Airport - straight across the road from the terminal. Mind you it'd want to be nice for the extortionate rate I paid! It has no competition nearby. Got a nice room upgrade anyway (without the upgrade maybe the property below would have matched or bettered it).

Very close behind is Novotel Auckland Airport - rightly cited as excellent by other posters.
