Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Just received:

'Dr Ralph, your next tank of fuel just got 10c per litre cheaper.

We see you haven’t purchased fuel at Caltex Woolworths in a while, so here’s an offer just for you.

Hit ‘activate now’, then fill up and scan your Rewards card in store for an instant 10c per litre saving![SUP]^[/SUP]

Starts today! Offer ends Thursday, 30th March.'

Can combine with 4 cents off voucher.

Interesting, mine was an instant 1,000 points when filling up with $30. Key thing though was it said you had to activate 2 hours prior to shopping, and i was right about to buy.

I just got an offer for 200points for every newspaper bought between 22/3-28/3.
Includes daily telegraph and the Australian. (Weekday and weekend editions)
There does not seem to be a limit.
Might be worth buying a few newspapers over the next week

Same same. I have no idea how much a newspaper costs. You think the bonus points are worth the cost of the newspaper?

I haven't bought a newspaper in years. Do they cost more than $1. That's the amount the points are worth on flybuys dollars calculations.

Woolworths EDR points rather than Flybuys points???

I specifically went to check yesterday to see if the offer was worth taking up. $1.50 for the Daily Telegraph on a weekday. Assume its more on a weekend.

So although Gogo65 has not responded to my question in post #1984, I believe that the answer is no. That is, that purchasing a newspaper is not worth the bonus points on offer if simply chasing bonus points, for dollar value.

Oops sorry, mixed up my programs. The conversion rate is comparable to the value if you are using Woolworths Dollars where $10 is 2000 points. If you are converting to QFF points, the value is unknown.

Last time I bought a newspaper a number of years back they were a $1, but they were earning me a 1001 MR points each time ;) When the points dried up so did my newspaper buying.

Saw an offer being promoted through Facebook (sponsored post) - double points on fruit and veg until March 31. 'Limited registrations' (350,000 *cough*)

If a scam they were pretty good as it put up the correct family members name after each entry.

I think it may be full now though as others now get

[h=3]Hi there, unfortunately this offer is not available on your Woolworths Rewards card.[/h]
Either that and my 4 cards were targeted despite no message to that affect.

A lot of facebook promotions, competitions and coupons claim they can only be activated by going via facebook but this isn't always the case. I can't access facebook on my system but I was able to activate the offer on our family member cards.
