I have never purchased one of these eGift Cards before and just wondering how it all works if I'm buy stuff at a Woolworths store and use the self serve check-out?

Many thanks in advance!

On the self service it will have payment options egift card ..... use the eftpos machine with your reference and pin

Oh thanks.

As simple as keying two sets of numbers!

Cool

Select e-gift card option and key in the numbers you have.

You can also use them online - but that's another set of numbers.

Can we use them online on the Dicksmith website or use the eGiftcard in store at Dick smith?

I may have mentioned this before but I enter the details on my phone as separate numbers for the same contact eg GC1. (Giftcard number, PIN, Residual balance, Online prefix). You can then edit the balance after using and delete when used up.
It's very easy to use part-payments or multiple giftcards-in some ways it's easier at the self-serve as you don't feel you are holding people up as much

I do something similar, but use keep.google.com and the associated Keep app. I've got the details stored as a list of items - number, pin, balance. The advantage with keep is that I can share the list with my wife, so which ever one of us is doing the shopping, we have access to the same list and can keep the balance updated and synced across our each individual devices.

Also, the 5% discount when purchasing through cashrewards adds up quite quickly, especially when I can also pay for petrol using the gift cards.

Dick Smith no longer part of the Woolworths group of companies and would bet that Woolworths would today be more than pleased to have them in their group

Same - 5% discount on EntCard, then camera photo (though I do use Keep for other things).

Makes me smile every time I top-up my Opal card

Just an FYI, in WA, many of the co-branded caltex/woolworths petrol stations often do not accept the e-gift cards (i.e. the ones where attendants wear blue shirts and/or has a starmart as opposed to a small "woolworths" branded kiosk with green shirted attendants).

Using RAC, I tend to buy a bunch of electronic for shopping (for a thinner wallet) and a high value physical one for purchasing petrol at the CW stores.

5% off petrol (on top of 4c/l) adds up imho (and CW tend to be cheapest near me anyway).

nothing like getting a 250 bonus points for $30 or 500 for $75 spend. Get an egift card and save 5% and know I'm scoring 3 MR points as icing on the discounted cake :)

makes paying for train travel not so trainful

So I used my eGift card for the first time and it went without problems.

As others have said, select eGift card when paying and used the EFTPOS machine to key in the eGift card number followed by the PIN.

Works without problems so I might be a convert!

Thanks all
