So we can now swap our Woolworth's dollars to Qantas FF points at a rate of 10 Woolworth's dollars to 870 Qantas points.

I haven't earned one Woolworth's Dollar from when they started the new scheme, since I buy what I am after, rather than what they label with the sticker.

How has you accumulation of these dollars been going?

Will this change actually or significantly affect what you choose to buy at Woolworths?
Regards,
Renato

I spent $120 dollars at Woolworths today and got 22.6 Woolworths dollars from their promotion. Plus I paid for it with my Edge card.

So that's 870X2 plus 360= 1740 FF points plus 360 Velocity points

I'm starting to warm to this reward scheme, and am looking forward to next week's 20 Woolworth's dollars.
Regards,
Renato

Have a look at the thread referenced above.

You will see that this does not start until first half 2016. And any WWR you earn will be automatically taken off your next shop (in multiples of $10) until it does.

Hi,
Thanks. I've been wondering how come I'm still earning FF points from Woolworths in my activity statement, even when the cash register doesn't show me earning any points. I guess it was too good to be true to have both schemes running at the same time.

You will still earn QFF points until 31 December. After that point the implementation point for the 870 QFF points for WW$10 hasn't been determined yet.

In general my earn has been, in one word, cough!

Managed a pile yesterday when I took advantage of the Gift Card promo and earned $20 by buying two $100 Hoyts gift cards. The kicker for me is using eGift Cards to pay for them that I purchase at a 5% discount.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have been speaking to WW people quite high up and they are absolutely shocked with the backlash from recent decisions and are really hurting in all aspects over the past 3-4 months.

and even more remarkably - they've still got their jobs.

So different to the Woolworths of 1990s and early 2000s.

People used to be accountable for their actions. The head office was on George St in a run down office directly next to the Town Hall store. I went along with another and presented to the board every six months or so on how we were managing a good chunk of their super fund (on public record). The carpet was frayed, the cups were old chipped mugs and the directors got up and made their own coffee/tea etc.

Then a few days later we'd head off to the Marble Mausoleum at Toorunga next to the shopping centre aka Coles/Myer Head Office. Nothing like a 6 storey (I think it was) atrium, opulence as far as the eye could see. Chalk and Cheese.

How things have changed...

The social media backlash has been very much so against the new scheme. I myself have only earn't $0.50 Woolworths dollars since the new scheme started. I did however take advantage of the recent offer with the gifts cards.

We have been doing quite well out of the new scheme with targetted offers.

Just did our entire Christmas food shop at Woolies and didn't earn a dime of Reward Dollars.

I hear ya! Earned bugger all from our general shops. I happened to take advantage of the gift card special to pick up some rewards.

Been trying to link my WW card to my FF card for days, won't let me.

Might have to dig out the old card and re-activate the WW offers on it. Sigh.

After I activated Woolworth's Christmas offer on-line, I got $20 off my next purchase when I spent $120 with them one week, and that next purchase was $280 for Christmas, which became $260, and that got me $20 off my next $40 purchase, which became $20. And I earned around two Woolworth's dollars as well.

I suspect that people who aren't happy with Woolworths haven't been reading their Woolworth's junk mail and activating their offers.

I know that in the past one didn't have to do such activations - I'd often be surprised when I got 12 cents or 20 cents a litre off my petrol purchase for no apparent reason (because I hadn't read their e-mails).

Some people just aren't email-type people, and they either don't have e-mail, or don't check it regularly, or check it but don't read the advertising ones. Which means that the Woolworth's loyalty scheme winds up missing many of their customers.

Renato

They are trying to "ensure" that all members get at least one $10 W$ earn by new year as part of the program relaunch. I would expect the amount of offers being sent out to reduce by Feb.
