Will the Shop and Earn website ever work properly?

I'm sure Im not the only one who has spent months following up Velocity regarding the failure of Shop and Earn purchases to appear as pending, and also for the points to credit. I'm willing to wait the 60+ days if the points will actually post correctly. To be fair, some retailers like Zanui and The Iconic are reliable, but I have had 3 separate instances in the last 6 months with 3 different retailers where I did not get what I was owed.

This thread is littered with complaints about Shop and Earn and in my opinion it is one of the weakest parts of the Velocity program. I cannot understand why Velocity constantly advertise offers of double points etc to get us to spend money with their retail partners when they cannot, will not, or do not honour them and it is up to the customer to spend the time and energy trying to correct Velocity's error. Even after being accused of not tracking orders properly or not making the order at all(!) and providing evidence showing this is clearly incorrect, we are faced with endless delays, automated responses, empty promises and a general 'we don't care' attitude from Velocity.

Are you willing to admit the Shop and Earn program is fraught with problems?
 
Hey does anyone know when or how to get the velocity prepaid card/cash wallet so can earn points that way too. ??

Not sure if it helps you query, but I don't even consider "Shop and not earn" as I know from the outset the points are not worth the angst.

I tried once, finally got what was rightfully owed (after many months) and promptly discarded the whole experience as tripe.

There are bargains everywhere....you don't need to buy retail on a hope some trashy points may eventually turn up. My time (and sanity) is worth far more than some elusive VA points! Best way to protest that one, is to not buy!
 
My recent philosophy with regard to S&E is if I was going to make a purchase with a site anyway (typically EBay or iTunes) then I may as well spend 20 seconds going through the S&E site, if the points land, bonus; if not, oh well (though the track record with those 2 retailers have been pretty decent). But yes, don't exactly trawl through the list of retailers annymore which I suspect is the point of the exercise.

It's not good enough that a company as big as VA continues to offer these promotions saying 'you will earn xx_ points' etc and then they fail to abide by their own rules of their own promotion. It's not a 'nice possible extra', it's a formal offer/promotion. It's like saying 'im paying to fly J - if I get points and status credits that's just a bonus'. It is something you are entitled to.
 
The site has worked for me, at least as far as the transactions showing up, they take a really long time to clear to your balance though. I have admitted only made 4 purchases, but all came through okay so far.

I can only guess if the cookie gets corrupted, or doesn't store the transaction number or code for whatever reason, you're screwed...
