Why are there no QF bookings available anywhere post 27 Mar 2021?

This has been bugging me for weeks now - QF have not loaded flights to or from anywhere for sale beyond the 27 Mar 2021.

This is for both money and points bookings.

I need to book in some legs for my Oneworld Classic Award but can’t even see the schedule, let alone find seats.

I get the 353 day window but now we are down to 330 days - what is going on?

Might be related to disruptions or uncertainties due to the coronavirus situation ?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have noted similarly - I hope to be travelling on paid fares BNE-SIN-BNE mid march 2021 and found business sale seats over but trying to return after 16 march 2021 , there are no business sale fares . This seems to coincide with the lack of "I" fares - which i am guessing is the bucket from which business sale fares come.
Interestingly , there are business sale fares SIN-SYD up to the 31 March 2021.

Thanks Ozflier,

I had a look at the SIN-SYD flights as a reference point but although the good old QF website shows seats available on the 31 Mar they are not on QF but are all CX and one JL.

Further to that there are no money fares showing up, only points bookings so I don’t see that it is a lack of available fares in various buckets, it is just a total absence of fares for sale.

As for BNE-SIN-BNE I can see that it is only Y fares available for the return - but only up to the 27 Mar. After that ....................nothing.

I am back onto the QF call centre this morning to see if my escalated request for a solution has been addressed and will post again once I know further.

Good luck.

Flying Brick, any luck with this? I'm searching for HKG-SYD award for April 2021 but getting nothing on the site.

Still no luck with any QF inventory beyond Mar 27.
A QF Business Analyst is still looking into why and I thought I was getting somewhere after a call answered by the QF Premium help desk.

However the next call when thru to the Philippines - absolutely useless of course.

My current advice from QF is “to try again early next week”

As for CX, it only seems that to flights to Australia not showing up, as there is loads of availability out of HKG to destinations such as NRT, LHR and CDG up to 24 April.

There must a huge pin wheel on the wall for them to even try to guess what frequency for a destination, what the fares should be when they have no idea of loads, gov restrictions etc.

Don't envy their job.

So just noticed CX availability for 1 May 2021 for HKG to SYD but still nothing for April 2021.

This is odd.

It kind of makes sense to me. No one knows what's going on and why would Qantas continue the business uncertainty with possible cancellations, refunds, reschedules.

Still nothing at all available on QF to anywhere after 27 Mar 2021.

No paid fares - no Award fares.

I’m surprised that you’re surprised frankly.

Trying to schedule an international timetable for next April would be guesswork at best with what’s happening currently.

But it’s not only International - it is domestic too! 😨

I can‘t even book a flight on the 4th busiest air route in the world from Melbourne to Sydney next April 2021 on QF for either dollars or points.

Every other OneWorld airline has put up schedules - both international and domestic for this time (BA, CX, QR, JL and maybe even AY) but not good ol’ QF.

Finally, today QF have opened up bookings on all flights beyond the black hole of March 27 2021.

All flights now bookable up to the 7th May 2021 o_O

Hopefully can start adding legs to my One World Classic Flight Award

7 May 2021 would be ~353 days out, so seems like things are back to normal now.

Interesting to see that Qantas' NS 2021 schedule is pretty much back to "normal" (i.e. pre-COVID) in terms of what flights are scheduled. Who knows how many of those flights currently scheduled will actually operate?
